Sapne Vs Everyone Season 2 Review | The bitter reality of crushed dreams between the power of Delhi and the struggle of Mumbai.

TVF (Viral Fever) has always been known for capturing the aspirations of the middle class and the struggles of the youth on screen. The second season of ‘Sapne Vs Everyone’ carries this legacy forward, but this time the canvas is bigger. The series takes us between two different worlds—the aggressive politics of Delhi and the uncertainty of the Mumbai film industry. Written and directed by Amrish Verma, this season not only talks about dreams, but also questions the heavy price to be paid to achieve those dreams.

OTT Platform: YouTube (TVF)

Director and Writer: Amrish Verma

Cast: Amrish Verma, Paramveer Singh Cheema, Abhishek Chauhan, Vijayant Kohli

Story: Two Cities, Two Roads

Season 2’s story follows two parallel paths. On one side is Jimmy Mehta (Amrish Varma), who wants to build his own empire in the world of real estate and Delhi/Gurugram politics. Jimmy calls himself the ‘Sales God’ and believes that success is worth sacrificing ethics. His main conflict is with his uncle Kukreja (Vijayant Kohli), whose political influence he wants to destroy. However, the entry of Tony (Abhishek Chauhan) complicates the web woven by Jimmy.

On the other hand is Jimmy’s friend Prashant (Paramveer Singh Cheema), who arrives in Mumbai with the dream of becoming an actor. Here the mood of the story changes. Prashant’s Struggle is the story of thousands of actors who make the rounds of casting agents and avoid losing their identity in search of opportunity. While Jimmy is running after ‘power’ in Delhi, Prashant is struggling to save his ‘values’ and integrity in Mumbai.

Sapna vs. Everyone S2: Directing and Writing

Amrish Verma brings a deeper and more mature approach this season. He has beautifully captured the atmosphere of both the cities on screen. The Delhi scene shows authority and dominance, while the Mumbai scene clearly feels the tension in the air. Amrish Verma, with his storytelling skills, ensures that the story feels real and doesn’t always end with success.

The show explores the conflict between expectations and morality, without taking sides. Still the script could have been better. Stories revolving around actors struggling to make their mark in Bollywood have been shown many times before, so the next part of the story is already known.

Sapne vs. Everyone S2: Acting

The acting of the actors is excellent. Amrish Verma has handled all the three responsibilities of screenwriting, directing and acting very well and has played the character of Jimmy Mehta with depth. Her acting clearly exudes confidence, intensity and a strong desire to conquer everything. Although his acting has a glimpse of other actors, but still he leaves his own mark. Paramveer Singh Cheema has given a very balanced performance in the role of Prashant. He portrays the frustration, hope and conflict of mind of a struggling artist in a very natural manner, due to which the audience can easily relate to this character.

Among the supporting cast, Abhishek Chauhan makes Tony’s character even more impressive by playing it with great detail and impact. Akhil Kayamal and Rajat Dahiya, who play Prashant’s roommates – Ashwin and Manish – have also done full justice to their respective characters. Manish’s character looks very real; He is a skilled artist, but his own view of his skills gets in his way. Vijayant Kohli has performed very well in the role of uncle.

Sapne vs. Everyone S2: Technical Aspects

From a technical point of view, this series is very well made. Its cinematography vividly depicts the contrast between the two cities through the use of colors and lighting. Delhi’s atmosphere seems open and bright, while Mumbai’s atmosphere feels somewhat cramped and cramped. Its background music enhances the mood of the story and creates tension in it. Its editing could have been tighter, as some scenes seem a bit long, which slows down the pace of the story. Despite this, its technical quality is very strong.

Sapne vs. Everyone S2: Drawbacks

Its biggest weakness is that its entire atmosphere is constantly filled with sadness. Sometimes it becomes difficult to even watch it. There are no light or funny moments in this show, which makes it feel even more unbalanced. Some of the scenes involving Jimmy seem a bit exaggerated and disconnected from the real world. Many such questions are left unanswered and unanswered at the end of the story; It is possible that these questions will be answered in the next season, but because of this, this current season seems incomplete.

‘Sapne Vs Everyone Season 2’ is an honest attempt to remind us that as beautiful as dreams are, turning them into reality can be equally cruel. If you are into serious drama and realistic stories, this series is for you. However, those hoping for a refresh like last season may find it a bit overwhelming.
