Malayalam actors Indrajith Sukumaran and Saiju Kurup are set to team up for a new film Kalante ThangkudamTo be directed by debutant Nitish KTR.
The film was announced with a special first-look poster featuring Indrajith as Yama (or Kalan), the Hindu god of death and justice. Although it has not been confirmed yet, from the poster the film appears to be a period comedy about Kalan’s treasure trove.
The poster also reveals a long list of actors who are part of the cast. Aju Varghese, Indrans, Johnny Antony, Vijay Babu, Gregory, Jude Anthony Joseph, Ramesh Pisharody, Azis Nedumangad and Shaju Sridhar are set to star in the film.
With music by Rahul Raj, the film’s cinematography is by Sajith Purushan. Director Nitish will also edit the film. Notably, Nitish previously worked as an editor on the 2023 horror thriller Phoenix, and has worked as an online editor on several films.
