Mumbai: May 26 is a memorable night as Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 2024 title after 10 years with a brilliant all-round performance in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Many celebrities congratulated KKR on their victory.
Ajay Devgn took to his X handle and congratulated his friend Shah Rukh Khan and his team.
“Congratulations to @KKRiders and my friend @iamsrk for a successful season. Really great performance in the final,” he wrote.
Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta congratulated her Veer Zaara co-star for this “incredible win”.
On Instagram, he wrote, “Congratulations Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla (co-owners) for such an incredible win and 3rd IPL title. Unfortunately for Sunrisers Hyderabad. You guys were brilliant throughout the tournament.”
Sharing a photo of Shah Rukh displaying his iconic extended hand pose on the field, filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, “Bhai ki jeet. IPL 2024 ki trophy mil gayi. Congratulations. Love you bhai.”
Ranveer Singh shared a poster of the KKR team on his Instagram stories featuring the players and captioned it, “Congratulations for a fantastic campaign. A true team effort.”
Extending the wishes, Kartik Aaryan too congratulated the “champions” on his Insta story.
King Khan was seen celebrating the victory with his team.
Shah Rukh met his team players and congratulated them for winning the IPL final. In a video shared by Jio Cinema, uncapped pacer Harshit Rana can be seen hugging the ‘Jawan’ actor and enthusiastically lifting him up.
In a photo shared on the official page of IPL, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen kissing Gautam Gambhir on the forehead.
After his team won the match, he hugged his wife Gauri and kissed her on the forehead.
He also hugged Suhana Khan and AbRam. After this, King Khan celebrated with the people around him.
From doing cartwheels to posing with the trophy, King Khan was in a celebratory mood.
KKR’s third title celebration began at the same Chepauk ground where they won their first title in 2012 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir.
They wrote the same story once again to win their third trophy. KKR bowlers surprised Sunrisers and restricted the SRH batting line-up to 113 runs. In reply, KKR achieved the target in just 10.3 overs by losing eight wickets.
