New Delhi: Raashi Khanna starrer ‘Aranmanai 4’ is breaking box office records in the Tamil film industry. The film has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, becoming the first hit film of the Tamil film industry in 2024. Before decoding the success of this horror-comedy starring the versatile Raashi, let’s take a look at the South films that have done well at the box office in 2024.
Manjummel Boys: This survival thriller became the first Malayalam film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. Directed by Chidambaram, the film attracted audiences across the country, making it a great viewing experience.
Life of Goat: The film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran crossed the Rs 150 crore mark. It revolves around a Malayali immigrant laborer who is forced to herd goats in secluded farms in the Saudi Arabian desert along with several Indians. Apart from these films, Malayalam films ‘Aavesham’ and ‘Premalu’ also garnered immense love by earning more than Rs 100 crore respectively.
Captain Miller: This Tamil film starring Dhanush grossed over Rs 104.79 crore at the worldwide box office.
