Actor and singer Jennifer Lopez plays Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst who has to turn to AI to help save Earth from a rogue robot in the science fiction action film. AtlasHe pointed out that the film “does a good job of showing how AI can go incredibly wrong.” Diversity,

“I think this movie does a really good job of showing how AI can go incredibly wrong, and how it can go really right,” Lopez said at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. She has experienced the exploitative side of AI, including ads selling “skincare that I know nothing about” that used manipulated photos of her face to remove “wrinkles.”
“It’s really scary,” she said, “Right away they stole our faces. So, yeah, [AI] It’s really scary.” Lopez added, “I think you should respect AI… We should be open to all possibilities. These films that are talking about AI – especially this one – do a really good job of showing both sides.”
Sterling K. Brown, who plays an Army officer battling Atlas, was impressed with Lopez’s work ethic. “Moguls are moguling,” he said. “This morning she was talking about how she’s reduced her level of commitments. I would be surprised to see her at full capacity, because when we were together it seemed like she was full capacity. There was always something going on.”

In one scene, Brown and Lopez’s characters are badly beaten and injured by villains. “We had nice small talk in between shooting,” Brown said. “I asked her about becoming a Fly Girl (online) in vibrant color). She had some good Rosie Perez stories.” Atlas Available on Netflix, reports Diversity,
