Jhanvi Kapoor, whose film Mr. and Mrs. Mahi In this film, which released in theatres a few days ago, she revealed that her mother Sridevi did not want her to become an actress. The Great Indian Kapil ShowJhanvi was seen in this show Mr. and Mrs. Mahi co-star Rajkummar Rao. When host Kapil Sharma asked Janhvi if she always wanted to act, Janhvi replied, “For many years, my mother tried to keep me away from this direction. Whenever I used to dress up or do make-up, she used to tell me – Do you know what my dream is? That you become a doctor one day (For many years, she tried to keep me away from acting. Whenever I played dress-up in front of the mirror, she would tell me that she wanted to see me as a doctor).”
Janhvi was always clear about her career choice. She assured her mother that she would play a doctor in a film. Janhvi Kapoor, who is still not over her mother’s death, recently revealed on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast show that she was ‘mad’ about losing her parents during her childhood days.
Janhvi revealed that as a child, she would often sneak into her parents’ room to see if they were breathing. Janhvi said, “It’s funny, but I was always worried about losing my parents, even at that age. Every time they would go out at night for an event, or travel for a day without me… even small things, like they would be shopping at duty free and I would board a plane with my nanny, I would always think, ‘They won’t board the plane, they won’t come back home’. I would wake up at night and sometimes go into their room to see if they were breathing. There was a strange illusion.”
A few days ago, Janhvi visited her mother Sridevi’s favourite place in Chennai – Muppathamman temple. Janhvi shared pictures from her visit. She can be seen wearing a lehenga. She can be seen posing in front of the temple backdrop. Sharing the pictures, Janhvi wrote, “Visited Muppathamman temple for the first time. Mummy’s favourite place to visit in Chennai.” Take a look:
Talking about the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was recently seen in Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma, who debuted with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in which Janhvi played the lead role. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is Janhvi and Rajkummar Rao’s second collaboration after Roohi.
