“Empire” star Taraji P. Henson is set to return as host for the upcoming BET Awards 2024.
According to deadlineThis will be Henson’s third ceremony, following 2021 and 2022. Rapper Fat Joe was tapped to host last year.

“I’m thrilled to be back as host of the BET Awards for the third time,” the 53-year-old actor said. “I’m also looking forward to celebrating my peers and the impact entertainment has had on our culture.”
Singer-songwriter Usher will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement BET Award at the awards ceremony, which will air live from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre on June 30. He is also nominated for four BET Awards.
Gloriella, Latto, Muni Long, Sexy Red, Shaboozy and Victoria Monét are among the artistes who will be performing at the event.

The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to honor black entertainers and other minorities in the fields of music, film, sports, and philanthropy.
