Mumbai: Actor Sharad Kelkar, who voices the character of Raavan in the animated streaming series “The Legend of Hanuman 4”, said the series has revolutionised animation in the Indian OTT space.
The animation in ‘The Legend of Hanuman 4’ is done as per the voices of the actors, which makes it more challenging due to the absence of visual reference.
Sharad said, “This series has beautifully introduced animation to the OTT space, showcasing the greatness of Indian scriptures and revolutionising animation in the Indian OTT space. Everyone who has watched ‘The Legend of Hanuman’ has felt a sense of enlightenment and I have felt the same. In all the seasons that I have worked on, every time I step out of the dubbing studio, I have felt a deep sense of power – it is indescribable.”
The actor is confident that every episode evokes the same feeling in the audience. Season 4 is full of plot twists and turns depicting the greatness of Kumbhakaran along with Hanuman and Raavan.
He added: “Voice acting is much more challenging than face acting, and it is a skill that often goes unrecognised. I am very happy to see it gaining popularity now. I am extremely proud to be a part of ‘The Legend of Hanuman’.”
Sharad Devarajan, Co-Founder and CEO, Graphic India, said: “In Season 4, we will see our heroes embark on a powerful series of battles against two major threats in Kumbhakaran and Indrajit. Each of these battles will require Hanuman to look within himself to discover new truths about the meaning of power and how he must use his immense strength to succeed.”
‘The Legend of Hanuman 4’ will release on Disney+ Hotstar on June 5.
