Mr. and Mrs. Mahi It has crossed the ₹27 crore mark at the box office. According to reports in Saccanilk, the sports-drama earned ₹2.15 crore on the 9th day. So far, the film starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has collected ₹27.90 crore at the domestic box office. After an impressive first week, the numbers have dropped slightly. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film also stars Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles. Mr & Mrs Mahi tells the story of a married couple, Mahendra and Mahima, who share the surname Mahi. After learning about Mahi’s love for cricket, Mahendra decides to coach his wife and help her become a professional cricketer.
On Friday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing the first week box office collection of Mr & Mrs Mahi. He wrote, “#MrAndMrsMahi scores respectable first week… Needs to maintain the same momentum in the second week as the regular flow of *major* films has started: #Munjya [7 June]After this #ChanduChampion [14 June]#IshqVishkarRebound [21 June] And #Kalki2898AD [Thu, 27 June],
Citing the statistics, Taran Adarsh said, “[Week 1] Venus 6.85 Cr [#CinemaLoversDay]Saturday ₹ 4.65 cr, Sunday ₹ 5.62 cr, Monday ₹ 2.21 cr, Tuesday ₹ 1.86 cr, Wednesday ₹ 1.90 cr, Thursday ₹ 1.80 cr. Total: ₹ 24.89 cr. #IndiaBusiness. #BoxOffice.”
Ahead of Mr & Mrs Mahi, a special screening was held for Bollywood’s A-listers. The film’s lead actress Janhvi Kapoor arrived in style, opting for method dressing and wearing a top with jersey details. Janhvi’s sister Khushi Kapoor was spotted with her rumoured boyfriend Vedang Raina. The Missing Ladies team including Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Nitanshi Goyal were also spotted at the premiere. Janhvi’s father, producer Boney Kapoor, Mr & Mrs Mahi producer Karan Johar, actors Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu and Boman Irani also attended the event.
