Bangalore: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa A man has been detained in connection with a murder case in Bengaluru, police said on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Renukaswami (33), a native of Chitradurga, whose body was recovered from Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru on June 9.
A case has been registered at Kamakshipalya police station. About 10 people have been detained in the case. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S Girish said that Thoogudeepa has been detained by the police for questioning.
“An actor from the Kannada film industry has been detained and questioned in connection with a murder case registered on June 9 under Kamakshipalya police station limits in Bengaluru West division. Details are awaited and the matter is being investigated,” DCP (West) Girish said at a press conference here today.
“Renukaswamy (33), a resident of Chitradurga, is the victim. Around 10 people have been detained and are being questioned,” he said.
Further investigation is underway in the matter.
