Those discharged from military service
In a new video that surfaced on fan pages on social media, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, and V gathered outside the entrance to welcome Jin after he was discharged from service. Jim was in his military uniform, and even paused for a moment to give a hand salute. RM was the first to greet him, and even sang his Grammy-nominated hit song Dynamite on the saxophone.
However, it was Suga who was missing. Moments later, BTS’s X account posted a group photo with Jin to celebrate his military discharge. It featured the BTS members sitting on a couch, giving a peace sign, while a white cake and some muffins were placed on the table in front of them. There was also a sign on the wall behind them that read, ‘Jin is back.’
Reactions from fans
One fan commented, “Home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling. That’s it.” Another fan commented, “Welcome to my beautiful Jin BTS family.” One comment read, “BTS announced “Jin is back” by tweeting on their personal accounts for the first time in almost six months and reunited as seven people at their pre-agreed time to celebrate the end of Jin’s recuperation.” “We missed you guys!” another comment read.
Jin joined the army in December 2022. The BTS member began his 18-month military service at a front-line boot camp in South Korea. Jin entered boot camp in Yeoncheon, a city near the tense border with North Korea. He underwent five weeks of basic military training together with other recruits. After training, he and the other recruits were assigned to army units.
