Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest left his wife Jessica Biel “extremely upset,” according to reports. The 43-year-old singer was taken to the Sag Harbor Police Station on Tuesday after breaking a signpost and failing to stay in his lane. Biel, who was filming her upcoming series The Better Sister in Manhattan at the time, was “shocked to hear the news” about her husband’s arrest.

The 42-year-old actress “had no idea that [about Timberlake’s arrest] Sources told Us Weekly that she was working at the time. The insider further explained that the Illusionist star was “really worried” about the Mirrors hitmaker after he was charged with DWI. Prior to his arrest, Timberlake was dining with friends at the American Hotel on Monday night before leaving in his vehicle.
An eyewitness told the NY Post that the SexyBack singer “appeared intoxicated.” However, Timberlake told officers he “only had one martini” and “followed his friends home,” according to CNN. The Better Place singer refused to take a breath test three times after being taken to the police station. The outlet said his breath “smelled strongly of alcohol.”

The Sag Harbor Police Department released a photo of Timberlake along with a statement addressing the arrest, which read, “On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 a.m., Justin R. Timberlake, 43, of Tennessee was observed driving a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel.”
“A traffic stop was conducted by a police officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and after investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated,” the statement said, adding that he was “arrested, processed and held overnight pending arraignment in the morning” and was released “on his own recognizance” after a court appearance.
