Aamir Khan to be the chief guest at Melbourne’s Indian Film Festival 2025

Melbourne’s Indian Film Festival (IFFM) has announced that superstar Aamir Khan will be the chief guest for the 16th edition of the film Gala.

The festival, which is scheduled from 14 to 24 August, will include a special retrospective to celebrate Aamir’s extraordinary contribution in Indian cinema.

There will also be a spotlight event around Aamir Khan’s latest release Sitare land crossWhich presents the actor as a basketball coach, which refers to a team of neurodergant adults for community service.

A press release stated that IFFM 2025 will honor Aamir Khan’s artistic effect with especially curated selections of films that reflect his bold, socially aware story.

Screening of Sitare land cross The festival will have a conversation with Aamir, director RS Prasanna and Aamir Khan Films CEO Aparna Purohit.

The festival director Mitu Bhomik Lang saw Aamir as a cinematic legend, whose work has always reflected a fearless commitment to sensitivity, depth and storytelling.
