Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan meets New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon on his visit to India

Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Ronnie Screwval, and Ashutosh Gowariker recently met New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to find out exciting opportunities for film destination cooperation.

The meeting focused on increasing the relationship between the Indian film industry and New Zealand, with the purpose of promoting the country as a major destination for filmmaking. A source close to Vikas revealed that the Prime Minister personally invited these celebrities, encouraging him to detect New Zealand as a top destination for Indian filmmaking.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister, RH Christopher also shared a picture with him on social media, and wrote, “The film scene brings money in our economy that works and income increases – and I want to see it more. So it was great to catch with some Bollywood stars that it was great what we could do!”

In the photo, Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Ronnie Screwval, and Ashutosh Govarikar can be seen posing, while Christopher Luxon takes a group selfie.

On 16 March, Christopher Luxon along with an 110 -member delegation visited BAPS Swaminarayan Akhdanam in New Delhi. The delegation consisted of senior government officials, ministers, business leaders and community representatives of New Zealand.

During his visit to India, Luxon allegedly met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 March, which was engaged in widespread discussions. It marks Luxon’s first visit to India as Prime Minister, and is traveling with one of the biggest delegations seen for the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Christopher visited Mumbai from 19 to 20 March before returning to Wellington.

On Wednesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Christopher Luxon and discussed to promote deep cooperation in major areas.

“The PM of New Zealand is welcome to the PM in Mumbai and Maharashtra. It was a privilege to meet and interact with the PM and his delegation. Both our discussions were looking forward to practical and further, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and strengthening deep colleagues in major areas,” Fadnavis wrote on X on X.
