New Delhi: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid has entered the world of films after studying drama for 3 years. He will soon be seen in Yash Raj Films’ production ‘Maharaj’, directed by Siddharth P Malhotra.
A close source from the industry said, “Junaid gave a lot of auditions But he faced rejections several times, including from his father’s home production Laal Singh Chaddha. Despite facing seven rejections, the producer of his upcoming film found one of Junaid’s previous audition tapes and offered him an audition. However, this opportunity also came with some conditions.”
The filming of the movie began in February 2021 and was completed within eight months.
Maharaj is set in 1862. The story revolves around the Maharaj defamation case and is the story of a religious leader who takes legal action against a newspaper because the newspaper claimed that he has an inappropriate relationship with his followers.
It is reported that after ‘Maharaj’ he has two more films.
Junaid has recently started working on his third film with actress Khushi Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. He also has a yet-untitled film with Sai Pallavi, who is currently busy working with Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayan’.
