Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Maharaj’ is going to release on Netflix on June 14. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari, who have made special appearances.
The release date was officially announced by the streaming giant on Wednesday, as it released the first look of the film starring Junaid and Jaideep.
In the poster, Junaid is looking very attractive with a moustache and in English attire – vest coat and white shirt.

Jaideep is seen with a Tilak on his forehead and his hair tied in a bun. Talking about accessories, he is wearing Rudraksha and gold jewellery for a royal look.
According to a statement from Netflix, the film is set in 1862. The story revolves around the Maharaja defamation case and is the story of a religious leader who takes legal action against a newspaper after the newspaper claimed that he has an inappropriate relationship with his followers.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Maharaj’ is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra.
Talking about Junaid, after ‘Maharaj’ he has two more films.
Junaid has started working on his third film with actress Khushi Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film ‘The Archies’.
According to a unit source, the yet-untitled film is quite different from his other two movies.
He also has an untitled film with Sai Pallavi, who is currently busy working with Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayan’.
