Abhijeet Bhattacharya recently shared his experience of working with Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. Both of them worked together on only one song, O Nazneen, listen!In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, the singer revealed why he had worked with Rahman only once.
Abhijeet told, “During that time I was getting calls from all the major music composers. Anu Malik would be on the line, and then Anand-Milind would call, and then Jatin-Lalit would call. I was busy dubbing all the time. ” I went (to meet Rahman) and kept waiting in the hotel.”

Abhijeet further told that an assistant of Rehman was present in the studio. He said that Abhijeet was requested to sing despite it being cold in his room due to air conditioning.

Abhijeet also almost considered the collaboration for the film Rangeela, noting that it was the first time he saw AR Rahman working during regular hours. In a previous interview with Lehren Retro, he described his experience with Rahman’s creative process as “unmusical”. He recalled that he was told that the song had been changed and Udit Narayan’s voice had been used for the character. Abhijeet said, “They called me saying that the song has been changed and since Udit has already sung for the character, your voice will be used in a different way.
