New Delhi:
New day, new opportunity but singer Abhijeet has a single age complaint – he has not been given the credit for singing Shah Rukh Khan’s song in films. In a recent conversation with ANI, Abhijeet shared that he had no personal relationship with the superstar and the credit for all his songs goes to him.
When asked about his current relationship with Shah Rukh Khan, Abhijeet said, “There is a relationship hi Nahi. I have met him a few times, but only Hello or Hi for Hello Greetings. Not sitting and talked to him as if I am doing with you right now.”
The host compared the songs of Abhijeet and Shah Rukh Khan to the prestigious pair of Kishore Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.
Rejecting the anxiety, Abhijeet said, “Mera and Shahrukh’s case is different. After listening to our voices, it seems that we are twins. I realize that all these songs are not mine, Shahrukh has sung them, has sung them, music has been written by him, and even cinematographer Shah Rukh Ka Gaana.
Over the years, Abhijeet has revealed the issue of not giving proper credit for his songs in Shah Rukh Khan’s films.
In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, Abhijeet addressed the matter, saying, “This is something that Shahrukh Khan knows very well. There is no difference between us; our birthday is just one day different. We have the same nature. We both know what we are going today.
When Main Hoon Na was released in 2004, Abhijeet got angry for “first”. The singer expressed, “Spotboy, Assistant Hair Stylist, Assistant Dress Maker – he credited everyone in casting except singers.” He had earlier said that the day he stopped singing for Shah Rukh Khan, the actor’s stardom saw the trend downwards.
After Om Shanti Om (2007), Shah Rukh Khan and Abhijeet did not cooperate for any song.
