Mumbai: Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently enjoying the massive success of his film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, has almost confirmed that his son Abhishek Bachchan will be working in the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘King’.
On Tuesday, Big B referred to a tweet by one of Abhishek’s fan clubs while referring to a tweet by his ex. The tweet talked about Abhishek’s villainous role and that Abhishek will be seen in a negative role in ‘King’, which also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan.
The netizen had tweeted, “Those who have seen Abhishek Sir in ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’, ‘Raavan’ and ‘BB’ would know the level of performance he can deliver as a negative role. Never doubt him. @juniorbachchan Abhishek Sir and Sujoy Ghosh. @iamsrk #SuhanaKhan #King #AbhishekBachchan @sujoy_g”.
Big B wrote in his tweet, “Best wishes Abhishek.. it’s time.”
This is not the first time the veteran actor has made a Freudian slip. Earlier, he had also given information about ‘The Archies’, which stars Suhana along with his grandson Agastya Nanda.
‘King’ is Suhana’s second film after the streaming failure of ‘The Archies’. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film was universally panned by critics and failed to attract audiences due to its dull subject and treatment.
‘King’ is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand. The film is expected to go on the floors later this year and may hit the screens in 2025.
