Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in a civil ceremony on June 23. Recently, the couple went on a dinner date in Mumbai. During this, their friends and family members were also present. The actress looked very beautiful in a pink outfit. Zaheer wore a white shirt with pants. As soon as the newlyweds enter the restaurant, Sonakshi can be seen touching the feet of her father-in-law. Sonakshi’s mother Poonam Sinha was also present at the venue.

Ever since the news of their wedding started doing the rounds on social media, the couple has been badly trolled over their inter-religious relationship. In response, the couple disabled comments on their Instagram posts to avoid unnecessary hate and negativity while sharing pictures from their wedding day. Now, the Heeramandi star has addressed the trolling by commenting on illustrator Prasad Bhat’s post, which featured caricatures of Sonakshi and Zaheer from their wedding reception. The caption on the post read, “Love is the universal religion.”
Sonakshi Sinha commented, “True words!! This is adorable! Thank you.” She also re-shared the post on her Instagram story.
ICYDK: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal registered their marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act. The civil ceremony took place at the actress’ new apartment in Mumbai.
Sharing pictures from the ceremony on Instagram, Sonakshi wrote, “On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and victories… to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods… we are now husband and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all the beautiful things with each other, from now till forever.”
Let us tell you that Sonakshi and Zaheer have been rumored to be dating since 2016. They shared screen space in the 2022 film Double XL. They also appeared in the music video duo Blockbuster last year.
