Movie actors added to the chorus of concerns over the possible damage of biodiversity spread over 400 acres of land in Kancha Gachibovli in Rangardi district of Telangana. The land located in the IT hub of Hyderabad was proposed to be auctioned by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) of the Telangana government.
“Students are raising their voice for the future, where nature flourishes. The forest, not the park, provides a permanent tomorrow. ‘Vikas’ at the cost of biodiversity is destruction. Gachibovali, save Kancha One in Hyderabad,” Di Mirza posted on X.
“The destruction of 400 acres of forest in Hyderabad goes to show that your children do not matter. We have not learned anything from our gas-room like existence in the north. It is eco-side committed in the name of development. There is no better hope than any leadership. They are all on the mercy of their greedy, myopic, corporate overlords.” It has re -prepared other posts related to this issue on social media platforms.

On Tuesday (April 1, 2025), a note aired by several government departments stated that 400 acres of land was not shown as revenue or forest records either as a forest. State cabinet ministers said on Tuesday that the government is committed not to disturb the lake and rock formation in the land parcel.
