New Delhi: Actor Mukul Dev died on May 23 at the age of 54. He was unwell for the last few days and was admitted to the ICU before his death.
The news was confirmed by his brother, actor Rahul Dev, who shared a hearty note on Instagram: “Our brother Mukul Dev died peacefully in New Delhi last night … he is alive by his daughter Sia Dev.” The family also mentioned that it would be deeply remembered by his brothers, Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev.
Tributes from the film industry. Close friend Vindu Dara Singh wrote on social media, writing:

Mukul Dev was most known for his roles, such as in films like Son of Sardar, R … Rajkumar, and Jai Ho. His last screen attendance will be in the son of Sardar 2.
Born into a Punjabi family in New Delhi, who came from a village with roots in a village near Jalandhar, from the background immersed in Mukul culture and discipline. His father, an assistant police commissioner, introduced him to Afghan culture and was fluent in Pashto and Persian.
Mukul’s entry into the entertainment world came quickly – he earned his first paychek in class 8 to put Michael Jackson on a dupedarshan dance show. Interestingly, he was also a trained pilot from the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy before making a complete transition to acting.
Mukul Dev’s presence on film and television made an impression, and will be remembered for both his talent and warmth.
