The trailer of the film released a few days ago shows Vikram Prabhu and Anushka Shetty to be a couple in love, who lives in the ghat. Poor local population, usually referred to as gatis, is used by smugglers for smuggling of cannabis from a trusted area on the border locations. It is clear that the smugglers looked down the valleys and addressed them in a compassionate voice.
The valleys are said to limit themselves to affect the goods across the boundaries as business will not suit them. The trailer gives an impression that Vikram Prabhu works in a dispensary or some type of hospital, Anushka initially works as a bus conductor.
However, both of them start getting married in the film and then look to justice to the poor coffers, which are handed over a raw deal by smugglers. The film was scheduled to hit the screen on 11 July this year.
However, now, it is scheduled to hit the screen on 5 September. Produced by UV Creations and produced by Rajiv Reddy and Sai Babu Jagalamudi, ‘Gati’ is the second cooperation between Anushka Shetty and director Krish after the success of his blockbuster film ‘Vedam’. Interestingly, the film will be Anushka’s fourth film with UV works.
The producers have already revealed that Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu plays Desi Raju in the film. In a special interview for IANS, Vikram Prabhu revealed that he had lost eight kilos for his role in the film.
Sources claim that cinematographer Manoje Reddy Katasani has brought the world of ‘Gati’ with his striking scenes to life, while the music of Naghavi Vidya Sagar enhances its intense mood. The art direction for the film is by National Award winner Thota Thani and Editing Chankya Reddy Torupu and Venkat N Swamy. Sai Madhav Burra has given sharp dialogues for the film, which promises to engage the audience with his powerful story telling.
