The iconic Los Angeles-based band, known for its infectious blend of pop, rock and funk, took the stage at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse to a thunderous applause to perform songs from their three-decade-long discography.
Maroon 5’s stellar line-up consists of frontman Adam Levine, lead guitarist James Valentine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Sam Farrar, keyboardist PJ Morton, and drummer Matt Flynn.
The evening began with a stellar opening performance by singer and record producer Zaiden, followed by DJ Mailbox who kept the crowd’s energy up with his dynamic tunes.
When Maroon 5 took to the stage, Adam Levine’s unmistakable voice burst into the opening strains of ‘Animals’. As the band transitioned into ‘One More Night’ and ‘This Love’, her signature blend of sweet vocals and pulsating rhythms had fans singing along in perfect unison.

Adam took an interactive break to connect with the audience, and expressed his amazement at the warmth of the Indian fans and said, “All I can say to you guys is we’re sorry we’re late but we made it And this is what is important! We are very happy to have you guys.”
Midway through the show, ‘Stereo Hearts’ brought back memories, its beats weaving seamlessly into ‘Harder’, ‘Lucky Strike’ and ‘Sunday Morning’.
Adam took over the stage with his trademark charisma, effortlessly navigating the falsetto of ‘Payphone’ and the girly charm of ‘What Lovers Do’.,The infectious energy of ‘Surprises Me’, the mesmerizing ‘I Want to Be Your Lover’, the raw intensity of ‘Heavy’, And the anthemic tunes of ‘Maps’.
Adam didn’t even need to sing ‘Memories’ as the fans took over, singing in unison, phone lights swaying like stars, creating an ethereal atmosphere that lingered long after the song ended. Lasted for time.
The poignant wave continued with the reflective voices of ,The tender sentiments of ‘don’t want to know’ and ‘love someone’.

As the tempo increased, ‘Moves Like Jagger’ turned the racecourse into a dance floor. And just when it seemed the night couldn’t get any better, the band delivered an encore that was a perfect trifecta: fireworks with the soulful and tender ‘She Will Be Loved’, the powerful ‘Girls Like You’ and ‘Sugar’, The sky lit up and the crowd burst into applause.
A really heartfelt moment came when Adam saw a fan, Suman, holding a bouquet for the band and she invited him on stage. Adam accepted the bouquet after hugging a teary-eyed Suman before singing ‘She Will Be Loved’.
Suman replied, “Your songs have been the journey of my life”.
