Beloved Grammy-winning artist Adele confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul, founder of Klutch Sports Group, who represents basketball legend LeBron James.
Her surprise announcement came at one of her concerts in Munich, Germany, when a fan asked the “Rolling in the Deep” hit-maker if she would marry him. In a fan-shot video of the event, which is now circulating on social media, Adele can be seen wearing a black gown. She responded directly to the heartwarming proposal by showing her ring finger.
“Will you marry me? I can’t marry you because I’m married, so I can’t do that,” the singer said, flashing her engagement ring to the concert audience.

Adele and Rich Paul went public with their relationship in 2021. Although they have mostly stayed out of the spotlight, they have been spotted together at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where they watch Paul’s client LeBron James in action on the court.
Engagement rumours of the couple taking their relationship to the next level made headlines after the 16-time Grammy Award winner was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger at the 2022 Brit Awards.
Although she shut down the speculation at the time, she previously spoke openly about her awe for Paul in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in November 2021.
“I met him at a birthday party, we were on the dance floor and then we met a couple of years later. We went out to dinner, which he said was a business meeting and I said ‘Business meeting about what?’ And then it was the first time we hung out alone,” the “Hello” singer said. She described her boyfriend as “fun, funny and very smart. Very, very smart. It’s incredible to watch everything he does and it’s very effortless and natural.”
Adele currently shares her 11-year-old son Angelo with her ex-partner Simon Konecki. She has openly admitted that she wants to expand her family. In one of her shows, the “Someone Like You” singer said, “Once I deal with all my obligations and all my shows, I want a baby. And I want a girl because I already have a boy.”
Meanwhile, Rich has three children: Reona, Richie, and Zane.
The pop star has also been engulfed in wedding rumours, as The Sun reported she and Paul will secretly get engaged in July 2024. The exclusive report that the American sports agent has proposed to her comes after months of speculation that the two have already tied the knot.
A source told the outlet, “Rich planned the proposal in his hometown, and gave her an incredible four-carat diamond ring.” He also admitted how fans’ debate over whether he was already married had become an “in-joke.” The report also states that their friends are hoping they will throw a lavish wedding party later next year.
It is being said that in 2022, the pop star and sports agent has also bought a £46million Beverly Hills mansion previously owned by Rocky star Sylvester Stallone.
