The concert was set at the Pandit Dindyal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium in Surat on 26 April.
In a post on Instagram, Shreya Ghoshal’s team shared a message to update fans about the latest development.
The note reads, “Recently and in the light of tragic events, the organizers have decided to cancel the upcoming show to be held in Surat on this Saturday, 26 April.
The postcard was shared with a caption, “We stand in silence and solidarity – with hearty condolences to the people affected by the tragedy.”
Shreya Ghoshal also paid her heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims in a picture message posted on Instagram.
It reads, “I can’t stop thinking about Pahalgam. About the silence that should have been followed. About the families that will never be the world again. It breaks my heart to know that life was lost in such a beautiful, peaceful place to know that there was nothing with life.”
Shreya Ghoshal’s decision came a day after Arijit Singh canceled his show in Chennai, which was scheduled on 27 April.
Arijit Singh expressed his heartfelt condolences to the tragic Pahalgam terror attack and the victims of their families.
In Instagram stories, he said, “Recently and in the light of tragic events, the organizers have decided to cancel the upcoming show in Chennai on this Sunday, April 27, with the artist, collectively.”
The deadly terrorist attack in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir took place on 22 April. 26 tourists were killed and more than 17 injured.
