After attacking Pahalgam’s backlash, Fawad Khan’s songs were drawn from YouTube’s songs YouTube

New Delhi: Two songs of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s Hindi film ‘Abir Gulal’ are no longer available on YouTube.

Fawad’s return film, which also features Vani Kapoor, got into controversy after the Pahalgam terror attack, claiming the lives of 26 people.

The first song from the film ‘Khodya Ishaq’, a romantic Gathagit sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, was released on social media on 14 April. But the official video of the track is no longer available to watch on YouTube in view of the controversy.

The second track, ‘Angrezi Charasia’, a leg-tapping number of singer-composer Amit Trivedi, was dropped on 18 April. The song is also not available on YouTube, even though the small clip of the track, shared by other users, is still on the platform.

‘Abir Gulal’ has been manufactured by a rich lens entertainment in collaboration with the production of Indian stories and Rjayan Pictures. Vivek B. Aggarwal, Avantika Hari and Rakesh Sippy are credited as producers in the film.

The film’s producers and Sargama were not available for a comment.

On Thursday, government sources said that the film would not be allowed to be released in theaters. The decision came amid growing calls for the ban on the film, which was scheduled for premiere in Indian cinemas on 9 May.

On Wednesday, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) also reiterated their instructions to ban Pakistani artists.

FWIS said in a statement, “In the light of the recent attack in Pahalgam, FWIC is once again forced to release a blanket boycott on all Pakistani artists, singers and technicians participating in any Indian film or entertainment projects. It is involved in the world.

The Industries Workers Union, which issued a similar instruction in February 2019 after the Pulwama terror attack, also warned that it would take disciplinary action against those working with Pakistani artists.

Fawad, whose last Hindi film attendance in 2016’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mukkil’ also ran into trouble after Uri Terror Strike, condemned the Pahalgam attack on her Instagram story on Wednesday night.

‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ Star wrote, “Hearing the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam was deeply saddened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this frightening incident, and we pray for strength and treatment for their families in this difficult time.”

The film shot in London also includes Lisa Hayden, Riddhi Dogra, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan and Parmeet Sethi.
