Mumbai: Bollywood actor Anupam Kher expressed his deep condolences to all the bereaved families and was disastrous with the AI ​​-171 accident on 12 June, killing 241 people.

On Friday, taking his Instagram handle, Kher expressed his grief for the family of Air India flight crash victims. He offered prayers to the bereaved families, saying that he “prays to God to give peace to those who have lost their loved ones in this accident.”


In the video, Kher said, “I pray to God that they have lost their loved ones in this accident. And those who are still in pain give them patience, courage and support. Today, neither language nor logic is of any use, nor logic. Neither argument. I want to say just one thing. We are with you.

While sharing the video, ‘Summary’ actor wrote, “Ahmedabad plane crash – tribute! Om Shanti!”

After an Air India flight AI171’s tragic accident in Ahmedabad on Thursday, actor Shah Rukh Khan resorted to social media to offer his condolences and prayers to the victims and their families.

In a post on X, he expressed, “My prayer to the victims, their families and all the affected with the news about the accident in Ahmedabad.”


Actor Anushka Sharma also reacted to the incident, expressing her heartfelt condolences to the victims. “Today, he was saddened to hear about the plane crash. Thoughts and prayed to the passengers and their families,” he posted on the Instagram Story.


Superstar Aamir Khan expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of Air India through a post on “Aamir Khan Productions” Instagram account.



In the message, his team expressed grief and said that they are standing in solidarity with all. The note reads, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic aircraft accident today. In this moment of intense loss, our thoughts and sensations are with the families of those affected people. We are standing in solidarity with individuals, communities and respondents affected by this disastrous incident. Standing in solidarity. Strong India. Team AKP.”

AI -171, bound to Gatwick of London, crashed soon after flying from Ahmedabad International Airport on Thursday. The airline said that only one of the 242 people on the board survived.

There were 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, seven Portuguese citizens and a Canadian national in a crashed aircraft.

Miraculously, a person, a British citizen of Indian origin, survived the accident, airline officials said.

The aircraft was piloted by a line training captain Captain Sumit Sabarwal with an 8,200 -hour flight experience, which was assisted by the first officer Clive Kundar, who logged 1,100 flying hours.

According to the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft left from Ahmedabad on runway 23 to 1339 IST (0809 UTC).

It made a call for ATC on May 1, but after that, the aircraft did not respond to the call made by the ATC. Soon after departing on runway 23, the aircraft crashed outside the circumference of the airport.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ahmedabad on Friday morning, took stock of the site of Air India plane accident and then proceeded to the city’s civil hospital to meet the injured in the accident a day earlier.
