Hyderabad: The makers of director Boyapetti Srinu’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘Akhand 2: Thandavam’, starring actor Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, have now announced that the film will not release as scheduled on December 5 due to “unavoidable circumstances”.
Production house 14 Reels Plus, which produced the film on its
The production house further added, “We are working tirelessly to resolve the matter as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. Your support means the world to us. We promise to share a positive update soon.”

It is noteworthy that on Thursday evening the production house had canceled the premiere show of the film to be held in India.
It read, “The #Akhanda2 premiere scheduled for today in India has been canceled due to technical issues. We have tried our best, but some things are beyond our control. Sorry for the inconvenience. The overseas premiere will go on as scheduled today.”
The film has raised a lot of expectations and the Censor Board has already approved its release with a U/A certificate.
It may be recalled that IANS, quoting sources, had reported on Saturday that the film has completed the censor formalities and has been cleared for release with a run time of 166 minutes (2 hours and 44 minutes).
For those unaware, the film was scheduled to hit the screens on December 5 this year.
The teaser released recently by the makers is raising the expectations even more. In the new teaser, the enemies of the country are shown conspiring to attack the roots of India. The teaser shows Balakrishna dressed as a monk saying, “Where there is evil, parallely, there is God too! Be brave.” In his own unique style.
The teaser reinforces what was shown in the trailer – that there is a divine force at work within Balakrishna as he takes on powerful black magic magicians who are aiding India’s enemies. The teaser gives a glimpse of the exciting action sequences waiting for the audience in the film.
It is clear from the teaser that Balakrishna’s character in ‘Akhand 2: Thandavam’ will fight both the enemies of the country and the unrighteous forces that disrupt the peace and harmony in the country.
Produced on an ambitious scale by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the project is being presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri.
