Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2 struggles to cross the 50 crore mark

Akshay Kumar and R. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ starring Madhavan is making waves at the box office. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film has crossed a mile of Rs 40 crore within six days of its release. According to the latest data of Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 3.20 crore on Wednesday, despite its working day, its total earnings reached Rs 42.20 crore.

Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 box office collection

It marked the film’s lowest single-day earnings ever. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ started its early day (18 April) with a strong Rs 7.75 crore, and when it managed to maintain its speed in the next few days, the number of box office showed only moderate development despite receiving positive feedback from both fans and critics.

The film saw a slight increase in its collection on Tuesday, which earned around Rs 5 crore due to a reduction in ticket prices. However, despite a positive reception, it appears that ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ cannot be a film that breaks the streak of Akshay Kumar’s constant flop. With an early day collection of Rs 7.75 crore, the film has so far crossed a mark of Rs 50 crore at the box office even after a week.

The film’s ABP Live Review reads: Kesari does not do justice by calling chapter 2 a “film”. This is an immersive experience that catches you from the first frame. You do not just see the pain of Jalianwala Bagh victims – you feel it. Their screams echo in your ears. You share the same anger that was burnt inside Shankaran Nair. The film does not let go – not for a second. This is not a kind of film where you check between your phone. In fact, Akshay Kumar himself said that it is the honor he deserves to see such cinema with full attention – and he is absolutely correct.
