Akshay Kumar sued Paresh Rawal for Rs 25 crore for a sudden exit from Hera Ferri 3: Report

New Delhi: In an unexpected development, actor Akshay Kumar has allegedly sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal to get out of Hera Ferri 3. A tweet posted by film critic Rohit Jiswal said that the production house of the toy actor has filed a case against Paresh for Rs 25 crore.

The tweet further read: “The production house accused of unprofessional conduct and searched for a sudden departure from the film, causing financial and reputed losses …”

Several media reports suggest that Rawal is a violation of contract to leave the project despite officially signing. Akshay Kumar allegedly bought the rights of the film from Feroz Nadidwala.

The iconic trio -Akhara Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal allegedly started shooting for the film under director Priyadarshan in April.

Earlier, Paresh Rawal confirmed his exit from the franchise and denied rumors of creative differences.
“I want to put it on record that my decision to move away from Hera Ferri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there is no creative disagreement with the filmmaker. I have immense love, respect and faith in the film’s director Mr. Priyadrashan,” he shared on X.

Fans are angry and disappointed by his exit.

Earlier, Rawal had dropped out of Oh My God 2 in 2023.

Director reacts to legal notice

Talking to Hindustan Times, the film’s director, Priyadarshan said that Akshay has the right to sue Paresh Rawal as he invested money in the film.
The director said, “I don’t know why this happened because Paresh did not inform us. Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to investigate with both Paresh and Sunil, and I did, and both were on the ship.”

He further said, “I have nothing to lose, but Akshay has invested money, and that may be the reason that he is taking this action. Paresh Rawal has not talked to me till date.”

Priyadarshan returned to the third installment of Hera Pheri and re -joined the original artists, including Raju, Babura Ganpato Apte, and Ghanasham’s roles in Akshay, Paresh and Sunil.
