Today, ‘Kesari marks the official release of Chapter 2, with a highly awaited historical drama starring R Madhavan and Akshay Kumar. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the Kesari is a major comeback for the franchise and 1919 investigates the court battle after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
‘Kesari Chapter 2’ pre-cells figure
The film’s advance sales began on Wednesday, and the initial results indicate a positive start. On its first day, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ sold around 57,000 tickets for 4,400+ shows across the country with the sales of Rs 1.84 crore (except blocking seats), according to Udyog Tracker Salilk. After accounting for the seats booked for spot reservation, the overall-relief profit increased to Rs 3 crore.
The top performing state was Maharashtra, followed by Gujarat, Delhi and Karnataka. The film is one of the top five Bollywood films of 2025 in terms of advance booking, thanks to its strong pre -sale. Given that ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is a court room drama instead of an action or thriller, often drawn large early legs traffic, business supervisors say this is a good achievement.

‘Kesari Chapter 2’ box office predictions
According to box office estimates, the film’s early day earnings can be from Rs 5 crore to Rs 9 crore. The Good Friday holiday occurs on the same day that the film is released, which can help in its box office performance as weekends.
The dawn rate for the film is 12.67%, which is encouraging for its launch day. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s last film, ‘Sky Force’, was a lower dawn of 10.26% on its first day. This means that ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is already enjoying 23% high response.
In ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, Ananya Pandey played the role of Dilrich Gill, R Madhavan played the role of British advocate Neville McKinley, and Akshay Kumar Attorney C. Shankaran played the role of Nair.
