New Delhi: Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.
Alaya, who has garnered attention for her stellar performance, shared details about the preparation for her character and the challenges she faced. Talking about Swathi Bola, whom she met in real life, she said, “I met the real-life Swathi, who is extremely sweet. She is the silent strength of Srikant in many ways. She is very soft-spoken but also very strong. She is sweet, amazing, loving and caring. But the character that was written is very different, feisty, bright and talkative.”
However, Alaya also revealed a major struggle she faced while preparing for the role. “The real Swati is all that, but in a much more modest, softer and calmer way. At least that’s what I got to know from my interactions with her at that time. So, there was a big struggle in my mind because when you meet someone whose character you have to play, you really see her the way you want to see her, but on paper, certain creative liberties were taken,” she explained.
The story of ‘Srikant’ revolves around the life of Srikant Bolla, the founder of Bolant Industries, who faces many challenges despite being visually impaired. The film depicts the inspiring journey of determination and perseverance of Srikant, played by Rajkummar Rao.
Alaya F’s role as Swati Bola has been praised for its subtle and complex portrayal, connecting with audiences for its authenticity and depth. With each project, she proves her potential to emerge as a leading figure in the industry, wowing audiences with her compelling performances.
