Mumbai: Alia Bhatt brought back old memories by sharing a series of old pictures with her late grandfather Narendranath Razdan, who passed away last year.
Taking to her Instagram account on Sunday, Alia posted a series of happy pictures capturing some precious moments with her grandfather.
Along with the pictures, Alia wrote an emotional note, “Happy birthday Dadaji, you and your stories will always remain alive in our hearts.”
When her grandfather passed away last year, the ‘Raazi’ actress mourned his demise by sharing a throwback video of his birthday celebration on Instagram. She penned an emotional note remembering her ‘hero’.

She captioned the post, “My Grandfather. My hero.. played golf till 93.. worked till 93.. made the best omelettes.. told the best stories.. played the violin.. played with his great granddaughter.. loved cricket.. loved his sketching.. loved his family and till the very last moment.. loved his life! My heart is full of sadness but also full of joy.. because all my Grandfather did was to bring joy to us and for that I feel blessed and grateful that we grew up with the light he gave! Till we meet again,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, on the acting front, in the coming months, Alia will be seen in Vasan Bala’s ‘Jigra’, which is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself.
The film is set to release in theatres on September 27 this year.
She is also set to play the lead role in a Spy Universe film which will begin shooting later this year.
Alia will soon be seen with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love and War’. Vicky Kaushal will also be with her in this film.
