It’s that time of year again when the air is filled with Christmas spirit. Lights decorate homes and streets, and carols echo throughout the night.

There is no better way to celebrate this festival of love and light than taking refuge in the lap of hope and joy.

The documentary, filmed by National Award-winning director Kamakhya Narayan Singh and presented by TravelXP, is a showreel that encapsulates this and hence, promises to take the audience to a land of happiness and festivity.

The global premiere of ‘All I Want for Christmas’, a documentary by TravelXP, was held on Tuesday evening at the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi in collaboration with the Embassies of Ukraine, Norway, Finland, Sifsi and Smile Foundation.

Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking snowy landscapes of Finland, the film follows the story of Ksenia and Anastasia on an unforgettable journey to rediscover hope and the magic of Christmas amid the challenges and conflicts of displacement caused by the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. Let’s leave.

Producer Nisha Chothani, co-founder of TravelXP, shared her vision for the project. He said, “At TravelXP, we have always focused on showcasing destinations, but this film emphasizes the human stories behind those places.”

Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh said, “I have always made stories that connect with human emotions. I look at this film with great sympathy from the perspective of human struggle rather than a film with a political background.”

The director-producer duo is often considered one of the best in the business – they’re also each other’s biggest critics and most honest cheerleaders.

“At least 70 percent of the credit for whatever work I have done goes to him [Ms Nisha Chothani]“Mr Singh said of his cooperation.

Nisha Chothani He said, “We have stayed together for so many years because there is a connection between the two of us. Our mental and creative waves have matched since the beginning. He is a maverick and so am I. And for two mavericks to co-exist “I think there should be a relationship. We agree with each other where we need to and disagree where we need to.”

Speaking about the challenges the team faced while filming the documentary, Mr Singh said, “The challenge was the child [actor] And the fact that they came from a war-torn country. But we did a lot of pre-production work. We had a Plan B in case Plan A failed.”
