Hyderabad: On Tuesday, Hyderabad Police interrogated Tollywood actor Allu Arjun for more than three and a half hours in the Sandhya theater stampede case.
The Pushpa star left for her residence from Chikkadpally police station at around 3 pm amid tight security.
The investigating officers interrogated the actor in the presence of his lawyer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Akshansh Yadav led the police team that investigated him. Assistant Police Commissioner L. Ramesh Kumar and Inspector Raju Naik were also present during the interrogation.
Police officials are believed to have questioned him about new CCTV evidence that has emerged in connection with the December 4 incident at Sandhya theater during the premiere show of “Pusha 2: The Rule”.
Allu Arjun was reportedly interrogated by the police on the basis of a 10-minute video prepared by compiling CCTV footage of the incident and statements given by him after his release from jail and on December 21.
It was not immediately clear whether the police had asked Allu Arjun to appear for questioning again.
Earlier, amid tight security, the National Award winning actor reached Chikkadpally police station at around 11 am.
The police issued a notice to the actor on Monday, directing him to appear before them for further questioning. The police had tightened security at the police station and imposed restrictions around the police station.
Allu Arjun’s father Allu Arvind, other family members, his lawyer also reached the police station.
