Allu Arjun reaches hospital to meet injured child after Sandhya theater accident

Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun visits KIMS hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad to meet child Mr Teja, who was seriously injured during the tragic incident at Sandhya theatre.

The incident, which took place during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 4, 2024, resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and the critical condition of her child, Sri Teja.

The visit comes amid Allu Arjun’s ongoing legal proceedings related to the chaos that erupted when the actor waved at the crowd from the sunroof of his car during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’.

Allu Arjun expressed his concern for the injured child, who was on a ventilator for several weeks after the incident.

By December 24, 2024, there were positive signs of recovery, with Mr. Teja reportedly responding for the first time after being unresponsive for 20 days.

His father Bhaskar expressed his gratitude for Allu Arjun’s support, saying, “The child responded after 20 days. He is responding today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us.”

Apart from Sri Teja’s journey, Allu Arjun is also fulfilling his legal obligations.

On January 5, 2025, Allu Arjun went to Chikkadapalli Police Station as part of the bail process and complied with the conditions set by the Nampally Court.

The actor was granted regular bail after the incident, but the court had imposed certain conditions including presence at the police station.

The visit was a necessary part of the ongoing legal process stemming from the tragic events at the Sandhya Theatre.

Earlier, on January 4, Allu Arjun appeared before the Metropolitan Criminal Court in Nampally, where he deposited the required bail amount and a bond of Rs 50,000.

Tight security arrangements were made upon his arrival as police personnel escorted him through the crowd of media representatives.

Following the court’s decision, his lawyer, Ashok Reddy, addressed the press and confirmed that the actor was granted bail on the grounds that the incident was not considered “culpable homicide”.

Reddy further clarified, “Conditions have been imposed that he (Allu Arjun) will have to appear at the police station. Bail has been granted… The court was convinced that this is not a case of culpable homicide. Therefore, the court granted bail. Gave it.”

He also mentioned that a quashing petition is pending before the Telangana High Court, the next hearing of which is scheduled for January 21, 2025.

The tragic sequence of events began when a huge crowd gathered outside Sandhya Theater to catch a glimpse of the star during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’.

As Allu Arjun waved to fans from the sunroof of his car, the situation quickly went out of control. During the chaos, Revathi tragically loses her life, and her son, Mr. Teja, suffers serious injuries, leading to him being hospitalized.

To support the victim, Allu Arjun also extended financial assistance to the bereaved family.

Her father, filmmaker Allu Aravind, announced a contribution of Rs 2 crore to help the family of Revathi, who tragically died in the incident.
