Speaking to NBC News, he said, “Social media is the perfect embodiment of the classic saying, “A lie goes halfway around the world before the truth comes out.”
Heard further commented that she had witnessed this firsthand, adding that “it is as horrifying as it is devastating.”
Following the publication of an article in The Washington Post detailing her allegations, Depp sued Heard on the grounds that she had made up her domestic abuse claims to further her career.
This is what Lively and Baldoni say
Lively claims attempts were made to damage her reputation after she and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, spoke out about “repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior” by Baldoni and a producer.
According to the complaint, the scheme allegedly included spreading misinformation on Internet message boards, creating a social media campaign and posting news articles unfavorable to Lively.
According to attorney Brian Friedman, who worked for Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its agents, the firm “proactively” hired a crisis manager due to numerous demands and threats made by Ms. Lively during production.
Friedman called the allegations “false and outrageous.”
