Washington: 2025 American Music Awards made a brilliant comeback in television after a two -year gap with a grand festival at the Fontinue Resort in Las Vegas.
In one night full of electrification performance and emotional tribute, it was Billy Eileish, who stole the show, winning in every category that he was nominated, a surprising seven-seven sweeps.
Ilish, already nine -time Grammy and the two -time Academy Award winner, added several AMA titles in his name, including The Coveded Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Song of the Year for Birds of a Feder.
She also won for the favorite female pop artist, favorite pop album and favorite touring artist.
The world’s largest fan-cut music awards also introduced new categories this year, including Song of the Year and Social Song of the Year, later claimed by Dochi for his viral track ‘anxiety’.
Despite leading the pack with 10 nominations, rapper Kandrick Lamar went with just one win, favorite hip-hop song for his breakout hit ‘Not Like As’.
The ceremony included show-stopping sets from artists, including Blake Shelton, Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stephanie, Benson Boon, Laana Wilson and Renny Rap.
The music legend Janet Jackson was awarded the Icon Award, leaving his permanent impact and career for decades.
Rod Stewart received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which offers a high-energy closing to shut down in the evening according to the deadline.
The night was hosted by Jennifer Lopez, which doubled as the initial artist.
