Jay-Z has been accused in a civil lawsuit with Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. He described the allegations as “heinous”.
After denying rape allegations, Jay-Z donned his family man hat to attend the premiere of Barry Jenkins’ Disney animated adventure film Mufasa: The Lion King, as a lawsuit claims. He supported his wife Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy as she posed with them on the red carpet. As Beyonce and Blue Ivy posed in metallic gowns on the red carpet, Jay-Z joined them as the Carters posed like a family for the shutterbugs. He wore a black suit and stood smiling in support of his wife and daughter, who thanked the paparazzi for their compliments. Some fans chanting “I love you Jay-Z” can also be heard in the background.
Beyoncé and Blue Ivy reprized their voice roles as Simba’s friend Nala and daughter Kiara, respectively, in Mufasa, a prequel to Jon Favreau’s 2019 blockbuster Disney animated adventure film The Lion King. Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King explores the origins of Simba’s father. The voice cast also includes Aaron Pierre, Seth Rogen, Donald Glover, Mads Mikkelsen and Thandie Newton. It will be released in theaters on December 20.
Jay-Z sued for rape
A woman said in a lawsuit that she was attacked after being taken to an after-party for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. Woman claims she was raped by Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z while an unidentified female celebrity watched during a party. In a New York City residence after the annual concert.
Jay-Z has strongly denied the claims and termed it a “blackmail attempt”. “What they calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny I wanted to compromise. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It led me to publicly expose you for the fraud you committed. So no, I will not give you a single red penny!!” The musician wrote. She also said the impact the “heinous” allegations will have on her family, which includes 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
