New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his condolences to the family of veteran Telugu actor and former MLA Kota Srinivas Rao, who died in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. He was 83 years old.
Home Minister Shah expressed his grief over the unfortunate demise of Kota Srinivasa Rao. He recalled the late artist for his “acting talent” and “devotion” for the upliftment of poor people.
While paying homage to Rao, Amit Shah wrote on X, “The brilliant film’s personality Shri Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu was deeply saddened by the demise. Praised his acting acting talent, Mr. Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu made his place in the hearts of the people and honored him for honoring them. He would continue to inspire the actors.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the actor for his “revating” performance and social service during his long career over four decades.
Paying tribute to the late Telugu actor, PM Modi wrote on X, “Shri Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu was suffering. He will be remembered for his cinematic talent and versatility. He inspired the poor for more information for his family. Fans.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also mourned his death, calling it “irreparable loss” to the Telugu film industry.
In a post on X, CM Chandrababu Naidu said, “The death of famous actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who won the cinema audience with his versatile roles, is deeply saddened. He is deeply saddened. He plays his artistic contribution in cinema and theater fields in almost four decades. The artist will always remain in the hearts of the Telugu audiences.”
Kota Srinivasa Rao was born on 10 July 1942 in Kankipadu village, a suburb of Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh. Making his debut with ‘Pranam Kharedu’ in 1978, he acted in more than 750 films in various languages. He also received the Padma Shri of India’s fourth largest civilian honor in 2015 for his contribution to Indian cinema.
