Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Monday said he watched his recently released film “Kalki 2898 AD” for the first time with his son Abhishek Bachchan and some friends at a theatre in Mumbai.
Bachchan, who is receiving praise for his role of the immortal warrior Ashwatthama in the big-budget sci-fi film, spent Sunday at his weekly meet-and-greet with fans outside his residence Jalsa, followed by a screening of the film.

The 81-year-old shared a series of photos on his personal blog.
Bachchan wrote, “Sunday of Sundays… going to see a film on the big screen at GOJ with well wishers and then at Kalki with some friends… watching a film for the first time… and the IMAX experience, and the facilities and the ambiance in the theatre… so impressive, the grandeur and beauty of the facilities… hadn’t happened in years… but it was so satisfying to come out and see so much progress… (sic).”
Touted to be a mix of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and the science fiction genre, “Kalki 2898 AD” is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
