Hollywood actress Amy Poehler is open to the idea of adding a ‘desi’ touch to the world of animated franchise Inside Out. And she feels Bollywood’s ‘desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra is the best choice to do so. The actor, who is awaiting the release of the second installment of the franchise, recently spoke to IANS. News18 ShoshaWhere he praised Priyanka, who is an Indian actress and who has also made a strong hold in Hollywood.
Amy is in love with Priyanka
The actor, who voices the spirit of Joy in the film, praised Priyanka in the interview.
She was asked which Bollywood star she thought could join the world of Inside Out, following which she asked for suggestions. When she was told about Priyanka, she immediately agreed.
He said, “Actually, I know it’s not really an emotion but confidence is a really fun idea which could be useful for some other emotion later on. Someone who is really cocky would be really fun. Priyanka has a lot to offer in terms of being confident.”
Meanwhile, actress Ananya Panday has already joined the universe in India. The actress has voiced the character of a teenage girl named Riley for the Hindi version of the film, around whom the film revolves.
About the film
Disney-Pixar returns to the mind of newly-minted teenager Riley just as the headquarters is suddenly being demolished to make room for new emotions.
The film’s synopsis states, “Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who have been doing their jobs successfully for a long time, don’t understand how they should feel when Anxiety, Jealousy, Boredom and Embarrassment come to the fore.”
The English version of the film also features voices by Maya Hawke, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumaiyya Nuriddin-Green, Adele Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walter Hauser and Yvette Nicole Brown. Directed by Kelsey Mann, Inside Out 2 is set to hit the big screens on June 14.
