Anand Deverakonda: I turned my fear into inspiration for ‘Gum Gum Ganesha’

In a fictitious village near Kurnool, a petty thief gets caught up in conspiracies and what follows is a mix of crime and comedy. Gum Gum GaneshWritten and directed by first-time director Uday Shetty, the film will see actor Anand Deverakonda playing an affable hero, which is completely different from the usual characters he has played so far.

Talking about the film, which will release in theatres on May 31, in this interview in Hyderabad, the actor said, “gum Gum… My calm self is far away. He checks the monitor and plans what he has to do next.”

We never intended to celebrate it or promote the film from that perspective.”

But we have a good support system, our parents don’t let us be upset for long. We start doing physical activity or start concentrating on the next film because we can’t do anything with what has already happened.”
