Mumbai: The Mumbai skyline is lit up for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani.
The grand event, to be held at Ambani’s residence Antilia and Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, promises to be a celebration of Indian culture, spirituality and tradition on an unparalleled scale.
The theme of the wedding decorations is ‘Praise of Varanasi’, paying tribute to the eternal city, its traditions, piety, culture, arts, crafts and Banarasi cuisine.
Guests can enjoy Banarasi street food like chaat, mithai, lassi, tea, khari, paan and mukhwas. Traditional arts like brass work, pottery, Banarasi and Kanjivaram saris, polki jewellery and rosewood furniture will also be on display here. Apart from this, there will also be an astrology shop, perfume shop, florist, bangle seller, puppet show and a photo studio.

The wedding attire will showcase the rich cultural heritage of India’s fashion designers and artisans with its colours, fabrics, textures and techniques.
‘Dashavatara’ will be a definitive showcase of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, as depicted in the Puranas, providing the audience an immersive experience immersing them in the spiritual heritage of India.
Guests will be treated to Hindustani classical ragas performed by renowned musicians. Famous singers like Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal will lend their voices to the wedding ceremonies.
Music directors Amit Trivedi and Pritam will perform along with singers Mame Khan, Neeti Mohan and Kavita Seth. Apart from this, international music sensations Kenan, Rema and Luis Fonsi will also perform at the wedding.

Ahead of the four-day wedding celebrations, the festivities kicked off with a pre-wedding ceremony in Gujarat in March this year that featured performances by pop superstar Rihanna besides other global and Indian celebrities.
After this, the Ambani family organised a mass marriage ceremony for 50 underprivileged couples.
Many celebrities including global pop star Justin Bieber performed at the musical concert hosted by the Ambani family.
Past events included a vibrant ‘Haldi’ ceremony and Graha Shanti Puja.
Meanwhile, the Jio World Centre venue was abuzz with several high-profile dignitaries in attendance ahead of the wedding this evening.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas and South Indian star Ram Charan were all spotted arriving in the city for the celebrations.
Reality television stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian also arrived in Mumbai this morning, where Kim was spotted in a beautiful outfit while Khloe opted for a simple look. Their presence has created excitement on social media, with fans expressing their excitement for the high-profile wedding.
