New Delhi: As the premiere date of Prime Video’s much-awaited original series ‘Call Me Bae’ is inching closer, fans are getting a glimpse of what to expect from the show, thanks to an exciting new OTT video from Karan Johar and lead actress Ananya Panday.
In the fun and charming video released today, Johar takes viewers on a quirky journey as he introduces the series’ unique concept while Panday prepares for her debut in the spotlight. Johar’s dramatic performance sets the stage for Panday’s role, which is a departure from her usual glamorous persona. In the video, a glowing Panday discusses her excitement about stepping into Bay’s shoes as a former heiress from South Delhi who handles the everyday struggles of life in Mumbai.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, ‘Call Me Bae’ has a strong team, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra serving as executive producers. The series is written by writers Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair and directed by Colin D’Cunha.
The eight-part series stars Ananya Panday alongside a talented cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskaan Jaffrey, Niharica Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur. ‘Call Me Bae’ will be available to stream globally in 240 countries and territories on Prime Video starting September 6.
