Aamir Khan shook apathy and enthusiasm when he announced on his birthday that the dear cult classic ‘Ended Apna Apna’ was in the sequel to development, Salman Khan expected to join him again on the screen. However, the new statements of the family of late producer Vinay Kumar Sinha have suspected the validity of the project.
In a recent chat with Lehren Retro, Vinay Sinha’s children- Prasit Sinha, Amod Sinha, and Namrata Sinha said that Aamir Khan or director Rajkumar Santoshi has not been given any official rights to move forward with the sequel.
“Aamir was just an actor, not a producer”
Responding to whether Aamir or Rajkumar Santoshi had any stake in the original film, the Sinha family said, “Aamir was never a producer (of the film), he was just an actor. We will never sell him or Rajkumar Santoshi.”
While he did not completely dismiss the idea of a sequel, he underlined that any further movement on the project should go through them as the right producers. “Yes, Aamir said that Rajkumar Santoshi Ends is writing his own 2, and we are very excited about it. But I want to tell you that in our father’s lifetime, for the longest time, Raj ji and father kept talking about a sequel. My father’s lifetime.
No director has finalized yet
Priti Sinha also revealed whether there is no decision yet whether Rajkumar Santocy would return to the second installment or not. “We are not sure. We have not decided yet. Everyone can say that they are writing a film. But if the producers don’t announce the film, it is just talking,” he said.
The Sinha family said that if the sequel is physical, they expect to join production, respecting a commitment, Santoshi had allegedly created for her father before her death.
Salman and Aamir supported re-reliefs
Interestingly, during the shooting prepared by Salman Khan, Salman Khan suggested the family to re -release Endz in theaters. Paresh Rawal also recommended that he be taken on social media to promote the release again. The family accepted the support of both Aamir and Salman in spreading the term, although Rajkumar Santoshi was absent from promotion, allegedly due to his engagement with Lahore 1947.
