Jolie talks about motherhood

In an interview with Michael Strahan, the actress, who plays opera singer Maria Callas in the upcoming biopic, shared that while Callas’ main focus was her singing career, for her, being a mother is the central priority in her life. He said, “It is my pleasure.” You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters.”

She was accompanied by her two eldest children who helped Maria as assistant directors on the set. Jolie shared that it was an “amazing” experience but that she did not want to be in front of the cameras. He revealed who among his six children he is most private with. The Maleficent actor said, “They are very private. Shiloh is very private. They weren’t born with privacy, right? So I hope they can achieve this as they grow up.”

Maria is Jolie’s first project in a long time as she previously felt she “needed to be at home more with her children”. However, now that the children have grown up, he thought it was time for him to return to the sets.

Jolie added, “And they are old enough to join me at work. It is a new season in our lives. “I’m so excited to see her becoming more like herself every day,” The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Jolie is a mother first and foremost

The actor, who was previously married to Pitt, stressed that motherhood comes before anything else for her. Thus she walks a thin line between being an artist and being vocal on political issues. “I am someone who has tried to provide better education on foreign policy,” she said. I think how often it’s summed up as, ‘You’re an artist, but you also use your voice,’ you feel like that’s just being a person.

Jolie continued, “I’m trying to understand what’s happening within our world, why so many things are the way they are. I’m trying to figure out how to be the best guide I can be to my children to make sure they grow up to be good people. I often don’t feel like I’m doing enough. So when you say, ‘You use your voice,’ I feel like there are a lot of things I don’t know how to do or say at this point.
