Angelina Jolie alleged in her 2016 lawsuit that Brad Pitt had “physically and verbally attacked” her and one of their children during a flight and demanded access to detailed records of the FBI’s findings and investigation. Recent reports suggest that the ‘Original Sin’ actress might have rejected the demand.
E! news It was reported that Jolie has filed a lawsuit to have it dismissed. The report quoted a statement from the filing, which said, “The parties to this action provide for the dismissal of this action with prejudice and each party will bear its own fees and costs.”
In 2022, a lawsuit was filed by ‘Jane Doe’, widely believed to be Jolie, requesting the release of documents related to the investigation by the Department of Justice and the FBI into the 2016 incident.

Despite the FBI’s decision not to press charges against Pitt, Jolie sought to declassify these records to help her children receive needed “medical care and trauma counseling.” The lawsuit sought access to detailed records of the FBI’s findings and investigation.
Over the years, Pitt has consistently denied these allegations.
The tension between Jolie-Pitt is not over yet
The couple is still embroiled in a separate legal dispute over Château Miraval, a French vineyard where they once shared a home and were married.
Jolie’s legal team recently requested third-party communications regarding the 2016 incident as part of the Miraval case, which Pitt’s lawyers have described as a “sensational fishing expedition.”
Jolie’s legal team told E! news In a statement, “While Angelina again calls on Mr. Pitt to end the fight and ultimately get their family on a clear path towards healing, until Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has There is no option but to obtain the necessary evidence to prove the allegations false.”

Jolie and Pitt have six children – Pax, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox. The couple got engaged in 2012 after seven years together and married in a private ceremony at his Chateau Miraval estate in 2014. However, by 2016, Jolie filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Currently, Jolie is single, while Pitt is reportedly in a relationship with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since 2022.
