Actor Salman Khan has announced the release date of the film. Angry Young MenA docuseries that will trace the journey of iconic writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. It is said to be a three-part series that provides a glimpse into the legendary Salim-Javed partnership that revolutionised Hindi cinema in the 1970s cinder, Wall And leaderThis series will stream on Prime Video.
Salman told on Instagram that this series will be released on 20th August.
A statement issued by the makers said, “Angry Young Men This is the story of Salim-Javed, the legendary screenwriting duo behind some of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of the 1970s. Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, Yaadon Ki Baraat, And leader among others. Together, they created the archetype of the ‘Angry Young Man’ – an anxious anti-hero who captured the imagination of an entire nation with his anger, defiance and pursuit of social justice. The story of their separation dominated headlines for many years, and Indian cinema never again saw a cultural collaboration so powerful. This docuseries is a personal and candid account of their lives, their writings and their legacy.”

The documentary series has been written by the duo themselves and will feature some of the most iconic personalities of Indian cinema.
It is produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby. Angry Young Men Executively produced by Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the film marks the directorial debut of Namrata Rao.
